Venture Grant Specialist at AADAO
Location: Flexible / Remote
Position overview:
The Venture Grant Specialist holds a key role in propelling the Cosmos Hub forward. This role is designed to identify, evaluate, and manage venture grants in a manner not dissimilar to venture capital investments. By doing so, the specialist ensures AADAO coordinates arrangements involving venture grants, token allocations, and revenue shares from prospective projects in an effective manner, thereby driving value for the Cosmos Hub and value to the ATOM token.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities within Cosmos, focusing on projects that meet AADAO's mission and investment benchmarks.
- Collaborates with the Grant Lead to formulate and enact investment strategies that augment the value of ATOM.
- Manages the grant cycle from initial screening, proposal evaluation, and due diligence to the negotiation of terms and ongoing monitoring of investments.
- Fosters and maintains robust relationships with entrepreneurs, other investors, and key players within Cosmos.
- Provides strategic guidance and support to portfolio projects, notably in governance, token economics, and ecosystem integration.
- Generates detailed investment memos and recommendations for AADAO's Strategy Committee.
- Keeps updated with market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory shifts affecting AADAO's investment approach.
Qualifications:
- Existing knowledge of the Cosmos ecosystem is a strong plus.
- Minimum one year experience and preferred 3-5 years experience in venture capital, private equity, grant management, or similar roles within the blockchain industry.
- Possesses a deep understanding of blockchain technology, crypto markets, DeFi, cross-chain bridges, etc.
- Exhibits strong analytical abilities to assess project viability and potential from both a mission-driven and financial perspective.
- Demonstrates superior communication and negotiation skills, evidenced by the ability to build effective relationships.
- Is a strategic thinker passionate about innovation and committed to AADAO's mission.
- Self-starter with high motivation in a dynamic, remote work setting.
