Orbita is a next-generation blockchain platform built on the Cosmos SDK, focused on transforming payments and financial services. Our project offers decentralized solutions like secure payments, AI-driven reversible transactions, and flexible subscription services. By combining blockchain’s transparency with user-friendly tools like a global POS network and a robust wallet app, we make crypto payments easy, accessible, and reliable for everyone.
What sets Orbita apart is its interoperability within the Cosmos ecosystem and its community-driven governance model through a DAO. These features allow for seamless multi-currency payments and decentralized decision-making, solving real-world issues like high fees, fraud risks, and lack of flexibility in traditional payment systems.
With funding from the Cosmos Hub grants program, we can integrate deeper into the Cosmos ecosystem, bringing innovative payment solutions to a wider audience.
Grant Goals:
- Launch Incentivized Testnet: Funds will support an incentivized testnet to onboard early adopters, refine user experience, and gather community feedback before mainnet deployment.
- Expand Ecosystem Partnerships: With a grant from the Atom Accelerator, and the subsequent PR as a result of the funding, it would help us establish partnerships with Cosmos-native projects which will help tremendously with our Testnet goals of IBC implementation with key chains, and the related costs of doing so.
- Investor Legitimacy: We are currently at 450K out of 500K committed for our pre-seed round. Receiving $50K from the Atom Accelerator would significantly help us out in closing the current funding round, and would start the ball rolling for our subsequent round.
Value for ATOM?:
- Increased Transaction Volume on Cosmos IBC: Orbita’s interoperable payment solutions will drive significant transaction activity within the Cosmos Hub by enabling multi-chain payments (irreversible & reversible), subscriptions, and e-commerce transactions across IBC-enabled chains. We anticipate facilitating millions of transactions annually within the first three years.
- Adoption of ATOM as a Payment Currency: ATOM will be promoted as a preferred payment currency, increasing its utility beyond staking and governance. This will create more demand for ATOM in real-world commerce. Additionally we can also use ATOM for payment fees.
- Enhanced Ecosystem Stickiness: By integrating with the Cosmos IBC and building partnerships with existing Cosmos-based projects, Orbita will attract new users and businesses to the Cosmos ecosystem, improving user retention and network effects. Our goal is to really target the real world aspect of crypto payments / transfers, and by focusing on this we expect to bring new and existing crypto users into the Cosmos ecosystem.
