As part of our effort to grow local communities and attract skilled developers to Cosmos Hub, we have awarded a $15,000 grant to Nacion Crypto to run a training program in Colombia.
This grant will cover essential expenses for their training program, including teacher salaries, video content creation, and student incentives through the end of 2023. It has an overall goal of boosting developer education and adoption in Colombia, focusing on the Cosmos Stack, including Rust + CosmWasm, BFT, Cosmos SDK, and IBC.
Nacion Crypto, comprised of experienced Cosmos members from LATAM who co-organized Hackwasm 2022 in Medellin, is well-positioned to execute this program effectively. The training program will leverage Nacion Crypto’s strategic partnership with the Technological University of Pereira (UTP) to promote education and adoption of the Cosmos SDK and CosmWasm smart contracts.
We anticipate that this grant will help foster developer growth and adoption in Colombia by enhancing local educational resources and community involvement. Moving forward, we will monitor the progress and impact of this initiative, ensuring it aligns with broader efforts to integrate Cosmos Hub (ATOM) into the local developer landscape.
