This grant is for the production of approximately 98 videos for the Cosmos Hub, using Cosmosverse as a centralized gathering to record all the footage we might need.
The project is part of an RFP we ran to create a series of videos on “Why build on the Cosmos Hub” – intended to be used as promotional case studies, to encourage other projects and developers to launch their products in the Atom Economic Zone (AEZ).
During the RFP process, in a bid to significantly reduce our costs, we decided to massively increase the scope of the project – to produce multiple distinct video series since we can film footage for all of them at Cosmoverse. While this reduces our production costs for the new video series, it does of course add much more pre-production overhead to the AADAO and OmniFlix, but we both believed this to be of best value to the Cosmos Hub.
The videos will focus on showcasing builders, key projects, and the broader community contributing to the Cosmos Hub and the AEZ ecosystem. The produced content will be a mixture of long and short forms, to be used across different social and digital channels. As part of this project, the OmniFlix team has agreed also to help distribute the content via OmniFlix.tv on behalf of the Cosmos Hub.
With this grant, the OmniFlix team will produce approximately 98 videos for the Cosmos Hub, to be used for the Hub’s marketing and communications initiatives over the next year. In addition, they will deliver at least 80 unedited soundbites and B-roll footage for use in future videos. This puts the average cost per produced video to just $189, or just $104 per video when considering the unedited footage to be delivered.
The final set of produced videos will be dependent on the people we are able to organize interviews with, and the type of content we are able to capture, so may change slightly.
Update: Following further discussions with the OmniFlix team regarding the cost of equipment during the filming, we have agreed to increase the grant amount by $1500.
