The project: This grant is to engage Immunefi to provide an always-on, fully managed bug bounty program to Hydro. This is an open invitation to our community of more than 45,000 security researchers (SRs), including over 1,000 elite level SRs, i.e. those who discovered a bug of critical severity — defined in terms of impacts including direct theft of funds, permanent freezing of funds, total network shutdown, etc. — to analyse and report vulnerabilities in Hydro’s smart contracts and applications in exchange for defined rewards.
With a fully-managed bug bounty program, the Cosmos ecosystem will ensure Hydro has an effective last line of defense to protect its liquidity allocation platform against mission-critical vulnerabilities in the most efficient way possible. The program includes full-service hosting and assisted rules design according to Immunefi’s best practices, as well as our white-glove, premium managed triage service, which offers 24/7/365 monitoring and report response for increased cost savings.
100% of Immunefi’s projects have been audited multiple times and yet our bug bounty programs have found critical bugs in more than 80% of them. As of November 2024, our programs have paid nearly $110M USD in bounties to security researchers, which is more than all other crypto crowd security platforms combined. And, in H1 2024 alone, Immunefi has enabled disclosure and resolution of over 806 vulnerabilities, including 198 critical vulnerabilities, across all the major crypto ecosystems.
