This proposal, submitted jointly by the KYVE Foundation and BCP Innovations, is to bring decentralized, scalable data management to Cosmos Hub through KYVE’s cutting-edge solutions. Our expertise in decentralized infrastructure and commitment to Web3 innovation make us the ideal team to address Cosmos Hub’s data challenges.

KYVE, data validation, and transfer protocol, based on the Cosmos-SDK, enables data providers to standardize, validate, and permanently store data streams. It leverages permanent data storage solutions like Arweave and uses its own Layer-1 Blockchain, ensuring the scalability, immutability, and availability of archived data over time.

Cosmos Hub faces significant challenges in managing its historical data, which continues to grow at an unsustainable rate. Storing and maintaining this data is expensive and resource-intensive, limiting the network’s ability to scale effectively. Developers, node operators, and analysts require reliable access to data for building applications, ensuring network stability, and analyzing trends. Current centralized solutions are prone to outages, high costs, and inefficiencies, which creates friction and slows down innovation within the AEZ ecosystem.

KYVE offers a decentralized and scalable solution to archive all historical Cosmos Hub data, using Arweave for immutable, long-term storage. The solution ensures a 100-year backup of blocks, block results, and state snapshots every 20,000 blocks, significantly offloading the operational and financial burden from Cosmos Hub and its community.
