This grant is to organize a Cosmos Hub side-event at DevCon, on 11 November 2024 in Thailand. The nine-hour event (2-11pm) will take place the day before DevCon, and aims to target both ETH and wider Cosmos participants.
This project follows in the footsteps of our widely successful Cosmos Hub @ EthCC Brussels event – the first-ever in-person event organized by the Cosmos Hub itself, with over 250 attendees.
Similar to the Brussels event, this event is targeted at developers, aiming to accelerate the launch of chains on Interchain Security. We hope to attract more than 200 attendees for this Cosmos Hub event, including folks from the local South East Asia community.
The event will feature:
- Keynote from the Cosmos Hub at Informal on how to launch with Interchain Security (ICS)
- Keynote from Atom Accelerator on how the Cosmos Hub can support teams launching in the AEZ
- Workshops on bootstrapping a Cosmos SDK chain, and then launching that chain with ICS
Please note that the event had a budget surplus of $7,957.62, which was returned to the AADAO post-event.
