To promote open-source development and highlight IBC as a secure communication layer within the blockchain space, AADAO has granted $120,000 to sponsor six IBC Summits over the course of a year, with the Cosmos Hub featuring as a key sponsor of those events.
The grant was given to elevate the profile of IBC by holding summits alongside major crypto events like Solana Breakpoint and DevConnect. These events are intended to extend outreach beyond the Cosmos ecosystem, showcasing the capabilities and advantages of IBC to a broader audience. By positioning the Cosmos Hub (ATOM) as a central figure in these summits, the events are aimed to drive interest and investment into the ecosystem, fostering a more robust and interconnected blockchain environment.
The impact on the Cosmos Hub/AEZ includes increased visibility and adoption of IBC, bringing together the brightest minds in blockchain to collaborate and innovate on this secure communication protocol. The summits are designed to feature talks, workshops, panels, and hackathons, providing a platform for developers and stakeholders to engage with IBC technology directly.
This initiative will not only promote Cosmos as a leader in blockchain interoperability but also attract new users and developers to the ecosystem, ensuring its growth and sustainability. By emphasizing the Cosmos Hub’s role in these events, the granted events aim to strengthen its position and influence within the blockchain community.
Update: After reviewing the success of the first three events, the last three events to be organised must forward the following deliverables:
- More ATOM-Specific Content: Include a panel or keynote specifically focused on promoting how IBC unlocks Interchain Security. This segment will discuss the Cosmos Hub’s shared security platform, the Atom Zone, and the ecosystem of chains and apps building directly on the Hub.
- Publicity: Feature the Cosmos Hub and the Atom Accelerator DAO as sponsors across all marketing collateral and touchpoints in the pre-event, during the event, and post-event publicity.
- Post-Event Content: Provide a few pictures and some notes that can be turned into tweets, highlighting the ATOM/Cosmos Hub presence at the event. Ensure some images feature banners with the Cosmos Hub logo in the background.
