The original Abakhus dApp (https://abakhus.io) is a privacy-preserving tokenization platform that was initially deployed on Secret Network mainnet and focused on healthcare and biomedical data (to tokenize medical and laboratory records). Main target audience is the healthcare market, namely clinical laboratories and hospitals that generate billions of electronic health records annually and that require a chain of custody for the electronic records they generate. Abakhus dApp was presented in several large blockchain and innovation events in 2022 and 2023, namely: Blockchain Rio Festival 2022 & 2023, NFT.Rio 2022, Blockchain São Paulo Festival 2023, Web Summit Rio 2023, Rio Innovation Week 2023.
Despite the bear market in 2023, we continued developing Abakhus dApp and deployed it on Secret Network mainnet on November 27th 2023 (contract address: https://www.mintscan.io/secret/address/secret1hluh4r7suyzlcqc9jp78dsgv6w7l2xa4p64gxq), as a beta version, and while it is a really functional version, several improvements were still needed for a wider adoption. The Secret Network ecosystem grant and project finished by the end of 2023.
In 2024, we improved the Abakhus dApp code and separated it this way: (i) Abakhus API and (ii) AbakhusJS library, then we rebranded the project as Abakhus Protocol, where Abakhus-Health is one of the many dApps that we expect to have working on top of Abakhus Protocol (using Abakhus API and AbakhusJS library). The AbakhusJS library is Open Source publicly available in Github: https://github.com/Abakhus/AbakhusJS
This grant will be supporting the development and deployment of un upgraded Abakhus-Health dApp that uses ATOM currency, meaning an improved Abakhus-Health dApp to promote Cross-Industry Collaboration among the Healthcare industry and Cosmos Hub, as well as Go-To-Market activities. Vast majority of clinical labs, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies have never used a digital wallet, especially Keplr then deploying a new and user-friendly Abakhus-Health using ATOM currency will help to scale it, especially because ATOM is a token already available in many CEX and DEX, Keplr has a mobile version and more recent developments in terms of Account Abstraction (obi.money) are already being tested in Cosmos Hub.
Beyond deploying un upgraded Abakhus-Health version in mainnet that uses ATOM currency and to be focused on medical and laboratory records, we will be (i) promoting the development of at least 8 new use-cases/products on top of Abakhus via 2 Hacker House editions, where the Abakhus protocol (Abakhus API and AbakhusJS library: https://github.com/Abakhus) will be used to attract Web2 and Web3 developers to prototype those new use-cases/products, and (ii) onboarding at least 6 partnerships with healthcare-related companies/organizations.
At the Hacker House, we will prioritize (i) supply chain, (ii) biotechnology data tokenization, (iii) genomics data tokenization and (iv) pharmaceuticals data tokenization for the development of the new 8 use-cases/products on top of Abakhus-Health and using ATOM currency.
