We propose the development of a decentralized vote aggregator solution to simplify governance participation for ATOM holders within the Hydro platform. The proposed solution Votion will enable users to deposit their LSM shares into a pool receive a tradable receipt token as proof of their deposit and have their votes automatically managed and cast by the aggregator on their behalf. This system maximizes governance efficiency enhances capital efficiency and empowers users to engage in the decision-making process without the complexities of manual voting.
The proposal aims to develop Votion, a decentralized vote aggregator designed to simplify governance participation for ATOM holders within the Hydro platform. This solution allows users to deposit LSM (Liquid Staked Module) shares into a pool, receive a tradable receipt token (vATOM) as proof, and have their votes automatically cast through the aggregator. By streamlining voting and integrating compounding mechanisms, Votion enhances governance and capital efficiency, empowering users to actively engage without the challenges of manual voting.
Votion’s key modules include a central contract (Votion-hub) for managing deposits, unbondings, and vote automation; a stake-proxy for converting ATOM to LSM shares; and ERIS’s zapper and global-config tools for efficient token management. These modules, supported by a user-friendly interface, offer access to performance metrics, expected APYs, and protocol voting data.
The system’s goals are:
